People, it was one heck of a year and we can’t thank all our clients more for trusting us in making their events come to life. We seriously were so busy and were involved with so many amazing events and talent we are literally bursting at the seams with happiness. In July alone we have 10, REPEAT, 10 events. Honestly, it felt like Christmas in July, we are so grateful.
To recap some of the great things we were a part of in July take a look at the photo montage below. Photos speak a thousand words and these artists we kicked it with were A-MAZING.
One word: MIGUEL. Working with Pandora is always a treat and releasing Miguel’s latest album “Wildheart” was a love affair. Hundreds showed up for the intimate show and Miguel did no disappoint. He can move his hips as well as he sings. Swoon.
We totally fell in love all over again when David Gray walked into Sonos Studio and cleared the room for sound check. His cheeky personality and James Bond-esque good looks had us feeling like a school girl in love. This event, with Sirius Radio’s “Coffee House Live”, was an awesome one to produce complete with the baby grand piano we had to wrangle through the front doors.
Allen Stone is one seriously awesome dude and for the second time in one month we teamed up with Pandora to host the album release party for Allen’s album “Radius”. He is unlike any artist we have worked with and WANTED to greet all the fans still waiting in line and when we say greet we mean SERENADE them all before walking through the front doors to the audience inside Sonos Studio. Seriously AWESOME.
You might be too young to remember Depesche Mode and I’m pretty sure I was born the year they started the band but Martin Gore is a legend (an super nice). When Notes for Notes, the non-profit organization that designs, equips and staffs after-school recording studios in local Boys & Girls Clubs came to us with Martin wanting to DJ a charity event we signed right up. He DJ’ed for almost three hours — We JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good birthday party, especially when its for my firstborn child who I love more than life itself. My husband and I usually follow the beat of our own drum and when we named our kid “RUCKUS”, as in causing a RUCKUS, no one was surprised. When it came to coming up with his first birthday theme we couldn’t think of a better word to describe Ruckus, parenthood and turning one then the word RAD.
RAD also happens to be the name of a certain 80’s BMX race movie that my husband also loves. We wanted to make the party cheery, boyish and all around rad. We chose to emulate an 80’s look for the invite and in ode to the movie we created an obstacle course that kids would run through complete with a PVC “car wash”, tubes, cones and a ball pit. Painters hat were a huge thing in the 80’s so we took the party logo of “Rad One” and had it screen printed onto painter hats. We had our very own customization station and guest wore them all afternoon.
Food was provided by a hometown favorite In N Out Burger, A’s Market and Sweet and Saucy Shop made the most outstanding cake. All visuals and production was handled by CC Events, invite created by graphic artist Steffi Neth. Incredible photos by the super talented Melissa of Marble Rye.
It was so much fun and nothing pleases us more than make a child smile. But I think us parents were smiling more.

Have you ever heard Jim James from My Morning Jacket talk? He’s insightful, soulful and all around hilarious. CC Events was asked to host their album release party and it was nothing short of amazing.
Jim James and Bo Koster of
MY MORNING JACKET were joined by
KCRW‘s Jason Bentley to discuss their new album “The Waterfall”. Topics of discussion spanned love, spirituality, nature and inspiration with humorous anecdotes provided by Jim James sprinkled in. Audience members for this private event included 75 entertainment industry folk and fans alike who were all enthralled with both the conversation and the album playback. When asked about the album title and specifically the lyric “Make the waterfall stop” Jim James offered this up:
“Literally you see a waterfall in nature and want to stop it. To see the waterfall freeze. I guess I’m saying there are times in life when its so busy and so intense and you just want to make the waterfall stop. Make your own miracle happen. Stop the waterfall if you can. Even though literally you couldn’t.”

Sonos has been one of my favorite brands for a while and as you can see I work with them a ton. I really enjoy their take on events and wanting to make events an experience—over just throwing an event to throw an event. Its that Ethos that made me join them as their in-house SONOS STUDIO LA producer— I am their “Producer in Residence” as I like to call myself. It has enabled me to work really closely with some truly amazing bands + brands like ODESZA, MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS, FAST COMPANY, MIKKY EKKO and more.
Although these events seem like just performances or album release parties they are so much more than that. Content is the name of the game and there is no lack of cool things to capture. From amazing interviews, social media campaigns, epic photos and cool visuals we help facilitate it all.
Lately bands are getting really creative with the visuals and overall experience of the event. I work closely with the bands and their management, not just on the basic production, on how to bring their vision to life. We have brought in projectors to illuminate My Morning Jackets new album art onto the walls, trusses with laser lights to follow Odesza while on stage to create a super wacky and engaging light show to purple carpets for Marina and the Diamonds stage set up.
There is no limit to creativity and I love that Sonos employs that same mentality.

We love a good concert but we also love an amazing beach party. I love community and often get involve with community events, from there I meet some pretty amazing people. Greg, happens to be one of those people I met. A super cool and relaxed guy who wanted to celebrate his 40th birthday in a place he loved, the beach. We worked the Lido Isle Yacht Club and decided to host his party right on the sand!
He wanted the seating to be relaxed so we made low tables where guests could stick their feet (and bums) in the sand and enjoy the sunset with a ton of cocktails and amazing food from Soho Taco. We went with a turkmex (which is a Turkish/Mexican vibe) –I made that up–complete with turkish towels and yummy Mexican food and libations. It was a fabulous night and Greg was so grateful for all we did and we really enjoyed working with him.
Guests enjoy the low tables and awesome beach vibe

Cage The Elephant Set List
Grammy’s are LIKE major in Los Angeles and rightfully so, it is the biggest night in music after all! When the award nominations are read the planning for the musicians and industry insider events begin. I teamed up with SONOS to host + produce their numerous events during Grammy Week which included performances by Cage the Elephant (in association with Pandora), ILOVEMAKONNEN and the queen of country Lee Ann Womack (who might I add was super funny and beyond awesome). Crazy fun events and we were thrilled to be apart of it.
We also hosted a Grammy Viewing party complete with pizza from Delicious Pizza , the hip hop pizza joint from the founders of the 80’s music label Delicious Vinyl, and live-streamed the event from the East Coast feed.
