Soho Loft Dinner

Sonos Exhibition "Play - A Visual Music Experience"

We worked a client who wanted to host a 70 person sit-down dinner in a 10,000 sq ft loft in Soho in NYC to kick off the launch of their newest product for select VIPs which included media, musicians and industry power people. We had a few short weeks to put it all together and had to work around the overall event production that was going on around us. The space was  gorgeous with lots of light and clearly a lot of space. The overall space was designed to look like a home that was dressed in all white. White walls, white furniture, white EVERYTHING. We stayed with that aesthetic and worked with Green Room Rentals to source amazing white acrylic chairs and parsons dining room tables. Our dinner space was conveniently located in the “dining room” of the event space, which worked out perfectly.

We worked with catering powerhouse Peter Callahan and let me tell you, what a dream they are to work with and their food is beyond amazing. The night kicked off with passed hors d’oeuvres which led into a scrumptious dinner of heirloom tomato salad, halibut and finished off with a mixed desert plate of berry ice cream and chocolate mouse cake! Yummo

CC Events even got a great mention in Biz Bash for the evenings dinner set-up and curation. Check it out below!

Electric Lady

Under a starry night in NYC at Pier 84 over 700 guests attended a very special event curated by Target, Cover Girl and Sonos during NYFW to launch the much coveted new album The Electric Lady from artistic powerhouse Janelle Monae. CC Events kept things on track while focusing on all those perfect details in collaboration with production company Mother New York.

The large red and white ship docked at the pier doubled as the UBER VIP area and Pirate Radio location where TUNE IN aired the performance live. Cover Girl erected a kissing wall where guests were given the signature Janelle Monae lipstick “Hot Passion” and asked to “kiss” the wall. Sonos created the “Electric Jukebox” where guests were invited to load a song to the playlist where it would be blasted through over 30 speakers. The overall event boasted numerous drink and desert bars but one theme remained the same, it was all about the music.

The concert kicked off in high gear when former MTV VJ and current VH1 star La La Anthony introduced the album’s EP Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Janelle bounded on to the stage from the Pirate Radio boat sporting her signature black and white style and famous pompadour. The tight six-piece band and back-up singers then launched into the beginning of the nearly 45 minute set that featured songs from her new album as well as guest appearances by noted rapper Big Boi. The crowd that surrounded her were treated to her infectious energy that included impromptu dance parties featuring Diddy, Big Boi and her crowd surfing.

FOUND in Montauk

CC Events has been living the gypset lifestyle this summer in Montauk NY. Montauk, a not-so-quiet resort town of the famed Hamptons, is filled with beautiful beaches, amazing landscapes and chic bohemians alike. CC Events felt it was not only the perfect place to experience an “endless summer” but to create a Montauk inspired tablescape and event! We worked with local vendors, farms and even used the land to create “Found”.

Hydrangeas and wild flowers are abundant in the Hampton’s and it wouldn’t be a Montauk photoshoot without them.

Tauk 8

Ruschmeyer’s, the local hot spot and hotel, donated these growlers which hold handpicked Montauk wildflowers perfectly. CC Events has been sipping on this local Dry Rose Cider all summer long. Its not summer in the Hampton’s without some yummy Rose from Wolfer Estate Vineyard

It wouldn’t be a summer nights picnic in the Hampton’s without locally sourced produce! The great guys at Balsam Farms hooked us up with their amazing carrots, rasberries, blueberries and their famous jam. We used driftwood as a “jam” plate!

SET-up

CC Events recently was asked to come into a vacant loft in Soho NYC and make it into a “home”. The three bedroom, two bath loft boasted beautiful hardwood floors throughout and amazing light. We had one day to make it cozy for NYC best media to come and enjoy a small event held there by our client. We spruced up the living room and added in a bunch of accessories to give it that “lived in” look. The palette we played with was white, gold and red as it worked well with the space and the clients event was centered around “Holiday”.

We worked with Props for Today and rented a variety of furniture, easels and rugs. What a dream they were to work with and given that it was over the 4th of July weekend we were lucky to have them in our court!

Going with the miniminalist feel of the loft we kept it clean and simple. The bones of the loft were amazing and we wanted that to shine while we subtly inserted accessories here and there. Rugs and flowers made a huge difference in the space!

SADDLE UP

CC Events hopped on the event planning saddle and took to Malibu for a very special company anniversary for design and advertising powerhouse 72 and Sunny.

Over 300 employees hoofed it up (via bus) the 405 and descended upon the magnificent Saddle Rock Ranch. Nestled on over 1000 acres guests took to the main house for an afternoon of food, wine, activities and sports. CC Events was called in to do the heavy lifting which involved erecting 2 teepees where people jammed on the complimentary instruments and built their own SEEDUM jar with local succulents. We also set up a LUMI process and it was like finger painting class all over again. The fields were adorned with all the best after-school games one could think of: cornhole, volleyball, bacci ball and soccer.

The food expereience could not have been better. Malibu Farms created the freshest menu we have seen in a while and we even brought in a lady who made her own goat cheese on-site. It was a very sustainable day.

After guests helped themselves to food and the three open bars they rested themselves in the pool and all the amazing furniture provided by Yeah Rentals.

We were so excited to work with Myra Vides Photography who took so many amazing shots and captured the spirit of the day. She is so great to work with and we totes recommend her!

The British are coming!

Brit pop sensation Kate Nash was in town for her GIRL TALK tour and she did a private performance at the Sonos Studio in Los Angeles. CC Events came in to do both front and back of house production. Over 700 people showed up for the 250 capacity venue and Kate brought down the house. IMG_3333IMG_2958
